Tools and Resources for Research, Quality Improvement, and Practice
AHRQ’s evidence-based tools and resources are used by organizations nationwide to improve the quality, safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of health care. AHRQ has worked with experts in primary care to develop tools and resources that can help people study, improve, and deliver optimal care. The tools have been categorized for three main audiences: researchers and evaluators; leaders, decisionmakers, and implementers of practice transformation and quality improvement efforts; and clinicians and other clinical team members focused on delivery of patient care.
- The collection of tools and resources for Researchers and Evaluators can be used for designing and evaluating research in primary care settings. Tools include methods to study and refine the PCMH, measure sets, and surveys.
- Tools and resources for Practice Transformation and Quality Improvement have been developed and tested by those on the front lines of these efforts. They can be used to facilitate transformation in practices of any size from solo and small practices to large group practices and integrated networks.
- The tools and resources for Clinical Practice have been created with the primary care clinicians and teams in mind and can help facilitate delivery of high-quality care.
