Carol Sniegoski

Carol Sniegoski, MS, MPH,, joined the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) as a Service Fellow to work on software tools for healthcare quality measurement and reporting. These include AHRQ's Quality Indicators software and MONAHRQ, a new downloadable application that allows organizations to automatically generate a quality and utilization reporting website based on their own hospital administrative data. Before joining AHRQ, she spent over 10 years as a computer scientist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where she performed software engineering and applied research in human-computer interfaces, natural language processing, and, most recently, public health informatics in the form of automated disease surveillance and outbreak detection. She holds undergraduate degrees in Linguistics/Cognitive Science and Computer Science from the University of Maryland College Park, an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, and an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the American University in Beirut. She is broadly interested in health informatics.
