Quality Diagnostic Tools for States


The Quality Diagnostic Tools for States program consists of events and technical assistance opportunities that disseminate and encourage the use of Quality Improvement tools from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), created to support State policymakers with their health care quality improvement efforts.


Quality Diagnostic Tools for States

Goal: To increase State policymakers' use of the following Quality Improvement tools: State Snapshots, HCUPnet, Diabetes Workbook Summary, Asthma Workbook Summary, Asthma Return on Investment (ROI) Calculator, Preventable Hospitalization Costs and Mapping Tool, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Chronic Disease Cost Calculator. Technical assistance for the tools includes workshops, audio and Web conferences, and hands-on technical assistance with individual States to encourage and facilitate use of the tools.
