Using this approach, analysts make preintervention and postintervention observations for both the intervention group and the comparison group that does not receive the intervention. Before the intervention, outcomes for the intervention group (Observation 1a) and for the comparison group (Observation 1b) are measured. After the intervention, outcomes for the intervention group (Observation 2a) and for the comparison group (Observation 2b) are measured.
