Center for Primary Care, Prevention, and Clinical Partnerships (CP3)

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and supported by staff from CP3, is the leading independent panel of private-sector experts in prevention and primary care and conducts rigorous, impartial assessments of the scientific evidence for a broad range of preventive services. Its recommendations are considered the gold standard for clinical preventive services.

The current USPSTF was convened to review the scientific evidence related to the effectiveness, appropriateness, and cost-effectiveness of clinical preventive services for the purpose of developing recommendations for the health care community and updating previous clinical preventive recommendations.
