State Benefit Packages - Husky Program Monitoring

A comprehensive data reporting mechanism was developed for the Husky health plans on a range of measures. Monitoring mechanisms include:

State legislation requiring HMOs to submit comprehensive Health Plan Employer Data and Implementation (HEDIS) data to the department of insurance. HEDIS data specific to Husky B (Title XXI) will be reported annually and will be supplemented by a report on well-child visits (EPSDT).

Quarterly encounter data required from both the Husky Plus Physical and Husky Plus Behavioral programs. State officials felt the data set of paid services from these programs would be small enough that such a requirement would be manageable.

Measurement of changes in numbers of uninsured children for comparison against interval census (CPAS).
