Text Description: Appendix Figure 5 shows the selection of articles relevant to Key Question 4, which examined the efficacy of pharmacologic treatment. 585 articles were found from MEDLINE® and other searches, and 248 were excluded for one or more of the following reasons: inappropriate population, not about dementia, concerned severe dementia. Of the 337 articles retrieved for further review, 306 were excluded for poor quality or inappropriate population. 31 articles met the eligibility criteria.
