  • The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) concludes that the evidence is insufficient to recommend screening infants for hyperbilirubinemia to prevent chronic bilirubin encephalopathy (select "Clinical Considerations" for suggestions for practice when evidence is insufficient).
    Grade: I Statement.
