The Grants On-Line Database (GOLD)

Mission

The Grants On-Line Database (GOLD) is a searchable database of more than 4,000 grants funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), as well as more than 300 working papers authored by AHRQ grantees. Users can search by project focus area (e.g., patient safety, prevention, health information technology, etc), keyword, State, grant number, and other variables.

Relevance

Each of the entries in GOLD presents a descriptive abstract about the project and provides information about the performing institution and principal investigator, the relevant AHRQ research portfolio or program, first-year funding amount, project start and completion dates, and whether or not the project was funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Product

GOLD is a searchable database that allows users to tailor their searches to suit their interests and to download/print project abstracts and working papers, as needed.

Audience

GOLD is particularly useful for potential grant applicants to help them understand the types of projects the Agency funds. Clinicians, researchers, educators, and other individuals can use GOLD in their online research into particular research topic areas, and organizations that may be interested in collaborating with AHRQ can use GOLD to find out more about the Agency’s research funding priorities.

Setting of care

GOLD is most relevant for users in academic, clinical, and research organizations.
