Figure 4. Hospitalizations and Associated Costs for Patients With Diabetes

This is an image of two pie charts. One is Total Unique Patients (Individual patients, some of whom were hospitalized multiple times in a year: 70 percent was single stay; 18 percent was 2 stays; and 12 percent was 3 or more stays. The other pie chart is Total Annual Hospital Costs: 45 percent was single stay; 24 percent was 2 stays; and 31 percent was 3 or more stays.
