The figure is a scatter graph that shows the percentage of children ages 0-17 and the percentage of adults ages 18-64 living below poverty, by city/county/county residual areas. The graph shows a dense cluster from 2 percent to 20 percent for children and 2.5 percent to 15 percent for adults. At the far end of the graph, the percentage of children below poverty is roughly twice the percentage for adults.
