The figure is a pie chart showing the areas of origin of the foreign-born population. The greatest number, 40.6 percent, came from Latin America. Asia was the origin of 29.4 percent and Europe of 21.8 percent. All other areas accounted for 8.2 percent of the foreign-born population.
