Career Goals: Dr. Chang is an OB/GYN [obstetrician/gynecologist] and holds several academic appointments within the University of Pittsburgh.  She is also a Scholar in the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) Program.  She has received numerous academic awards.  Her long-term career goal is to improve women's health and health care services by becoming a pre-eminent researcher in examining and improving communication between women and their health care providers.  Of particular interest is how patient-provider communication regarding sensitive behavioral topics affects health behavior and health outcomes for women and how interventions to improve this communication may serve as vehicles to improve women's health care.
