Patient Safety Organizations and the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
- Section 399KK: Secretary shall make available a program for hospitals with high readmission rates to work with Patient Safety Organizations (PSOs):
- AHRQ and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have undertaken some planning in order to execute this part of ACA.
- AHRQ PSO Web site enhancement launched March 6th to provide resources for PSOs to work with those hospitals.
