Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Quality Measures Program

In 2003, States began collection of data on four core clinical performance measures for the State Child Health Insurance Program (SCHIP):

• Well child visits in the first 15 months of life.
• Well-child visits in the third, fourth, and sixth years of life.
• Use of appropriate medications for children with asthma.
• Children's access to primary care practitioners.
