The Time for Action Is Now

- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and States are committed to improve the quality of care for Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) beneficiaries.
- Institute of Medicine (IOM) and Government Accountability Office reports, as well as many recent articles on quality agree: there is significant opportunity for improvement in the quality of care for children eligible for Medicaid and CHIP.
- If the CMS vision is successful, more than 48 million low-income children, families, and aged, blind and disabled individuals across the country will move closer toward receiving the right care, for every person every time.
