    • ~$30 billion in excess healthcare costs.
  • Overall HAI figures to be updated in light of new lower CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] estimates for CLABSI [central line-associated bloodstream infection], CAUTI [catheter-associated urinary tract infection], SSI [surgical site infection], and VAP [ventilator-associated pneumonia].
