  • Audience-centered activities are most effective when using the audience's preferred formats, channels, and contexts.

Note: "Often people with the greatest health burdens have the least access to information, communication technologies, health care, and supporting social services. Even the most carefully designed health communication programs will have limited impact if underserved communities lack access to crucial health professionals, services, and communication channels that are part of a health improvement project."
