Methodological Considerations in Generating Provider Performance Score

Two graphs illustrate performance variation. In the first, five data points are clustered close together, showing lower between-provider variation, It is harder to tell who is best. In the second, the five data points are spread out, showing higher between-provider variation. It is easier to tell who is best.
