A second copy might be given to your quality department to review its completeness as one of your metrics.The DA meets with the patient and family in a quiet place to review teachings that occurred during the patient's stay and to teach any new information that resulted from final discharge orders. The DA covers all parts of the care plan and assesses the patient's understanding.
