Denominator

Child U.S. population (under 18 years of age, civilian, noninstitutionalized) who had at least one visit to a doctor's office or clinic in the previous 12 months (not including visits to an emergency room).

Numerator

Child U.S. population (under 18 years of age, civilian, noninstitutionalized) who had at least one visit to a doctor's office or clinic in the previous 12 months (not including visits to an emergency room) whose parents subsequently reported that their child's providers always (Table 231A), usually (Table 231B), sometimes or never (Table 231C) spend enough time with them.
