Denominator

Child U.S. population (under 18 years of age, civilian, noninstitutionalized) who had at least one visit to a doctor's office or clinic in the previous 12 months (not including visits to an emergency room).

Numerator

Child U.S. population (under 18 years of age, civilian, noninstitutionalized) who had at least one visit to a doctor's office or clinic in the previous 12 months (not including visits to an emergency room) whose parents rated their child's health care in the past year as <7 (Table 232A), 7-8 (Table 232B), or 9-10 (Table 232C, the best) on a scale from 0 to 10.
