Denominator

U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized adults age 18 and older who had at least 1 visit to a doctor's office or clinic in the previous 12 months (not including visits to an emergency room).

Numerator

U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized adults age 18 and older who had at least 1 visit to a doctor's office or clinic in the previous 12 months (not including visits to an emergency room) who subsequently reported that their providers always (table 174A), usually (table 174B), or sometimes or never (table 174C) spend enough time with them.
