Numerator

Number of Medicare beneficiaries age 65 and over residing in the community for the full year who had an influenza vaccination in the last winter.

Comments

Survey respondents are asked if they had a flu shot last winter. If further explanation is requested, respondents are asked if they got a flu shot anytime during the period from September through December of the previous year.
