Simplified OBOGS Operation

Engine Bleed Air (O2 21%; N2 78%; Ar 1%) enters the Molecular Sieve Canister--Production Phase, where most of the N2 is filtered out. Breathing Gas (O2 93%; N2 3%; Ar 4%) emerges from the Sieve Canister; some gas exits the cycle at this point, while the remainder is passed through a Purge Orifice to enter Molecular Sieve Canister--Purge Phase. Exhaust Gas emerges.
