3. STATION-SPECIFIC STAFFING

(or, How to Set Up Your Clinics)

The following calculations show the optimal staffing levels for each station for your chosen clinic layout. According to this model, these staff levels are necessary to ensure that patients do not back up inside the clinic during the course of the prophylaxis campaign. If you think the numbers here exceed the maximum size of the clinics you intend to set up, this sheet allows you to re-calculate the number of staff at each station to fit into a smaller space.

The calculations are based on your input of a population of people processed during a campaign of days. The clinics are operating under fast process times in a large-Scale Event scenario involving Communicable (e.g. Smallpox).

1: ESTIMATED CORE STAFF PER STATION AT EACH CLINIC

The following staff per station calculations are per shift and do not include downtime.

Greeters / Screeners: 0
Forms Distributors: 0
Medical Evaluators: 1
Briefing Supervisors: 6
Triage Staff: 1
Testing Staff: 0
Vaccinators / Drug Dispensers: 1
Crisis Councelors: 1
Forms Collectors / Exit Educators: 2
Transport / EMS 0

2: RECALCULATED STAFF PER STATION BASED ON MAXIMUM STAFF SIZE LIMIT

The following calculations will estimate the optimal staff per station when there is a limit on the total core staff size per clinic (e.g., due to space limitations). (In order to avoid fractions of staff, these estimates have been rounded to the nearest whole number; consequently, they may total slightly more than your imputed maximum.)

Enter the maximum total core staff that you anticipate will be able to fit in a single clinic site:
Greeters / Screeners: 1
Forms Distributors:
1
Medical Evaluators: 2
Briefing Supervisors: 18
Triage Staff: 3
Testing Staff: 0
Vaccinators / Drug Dispensers:: 3
Crisis Counselors: 0
Forms Collectors / Exit Educators: 3
Transport / EMS: 0
