Figure 1 shows a linear horizontal timeline from January 2002 to October 2006 showing the process of their Medicaid randomized control trial (RCT) project. Along the timeline there are text boxes with arrows pointing to different dates along the timeline. The boxes contain the following text in linear order:

August 2002: NGA Policy Academy: Indiana OMPP and State Dept. of Health decide on a state-assembled approach and work with the Indiana Legislature to authorize the program.

2003 Legislative Session approves state-assembled approach.

January 2003: RI team's first draft proposal of how it might participate.

March 2003: Planning meeting: OMPP, ISDH NCM and call center leadership, and Regenstrief Institute, Indiana University, and MacColl Institute national expert panel.

May 2003: CMS Authorization.

July 2003: Begin Central Regional CHF and diabetes program, and randomize in Indianapolis for RCT.

September 2003: Begin RCT measurement period.

April 2004: Begin Northern Region HCF and diabetes program.

July 2004: Begin Southern Region CHF and diabetes program.

February 2005-June 2006: Additional "refreshes" of the CHF, diabetes populations.

June 2005: RCT closed.

October 2005: RCT interim report.

October 2006: RCT outcomes report.
