Attention researchers

A 3-day methods seminar on "Using Federal and State Databases" will be held October 30-November 1, 2000, in Washington, DC. The first day will include an overview of selected Federal and State databases, lessons learned from the field, and information on Federal and State efforts to protect patient privacy. For the following 2 days, participants can choose any two of six day-long tracks on specific Federal and State databases. The seminar is being presented by the Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy (formerly the Association for Health Services Research) with four Federal cosponsors:

  • The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
  • The Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • The Health Care Financing Administration.
  • The National Center for Health Statistics.
