TeamSTEPPS® Instructor Manual
Acknowledgments
Funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) under Contract #: HHSA2902010000251, TO#2, TeamSTEPPS® 2.0 is a collaborative effort to update and expand the original TeamSTEPPS curriculum. This effort involved the contributions of many organizations and individuals.
First, we would like to recognize the project sponsors, AHRQ and the Department of Defense (DoD) Patient Safety Program. Specifically, we would like to acknowledge James Battles, Ph.D. (AHRQ), and Heidi King, MS (DoD), who have provided ongoing support, ideas, and direction on TeamSTEPPS.
Second, we would like to acknowledge the many contributors to TeamSTEPPS 2.0. In addition to AHRQ and DoD, these include the organizations and individuals who provided input to inform the revised curriculum; executed revisions and updates to the curriculum, supporting materials, and evidence base; provided opportunities to pilot test the curriculum; and conducted reviews and provided recommendations on all aspects of the effort.
Because TeamSTEPPS 2.0 would not be possible without the success of the original curriculum, which continues to be the foundation for this version, we would like to continue to thank the many organizations and individuals who developed and/or contributed to the original TeamSTEPPS curriculum.
We would also like to acknowledge Dr. John Kotter for his ideas and for sharing the concepts from his book Our Iceberg Is Melting: Changing and Succeeding Under Any Conditions within the TeamSTEPPS curriculum.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge Ms. Susan Sheridan, M.B.A., M.I.M., Deputy Director of Patient Engagement at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), whose story remains a powerful part of the TeamSTEPPS curriculum.
