Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery
The CAHPS Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Survey (OAS CAHPS) is designed to assess the experiences of adult patients who receive care in Medicare-certified hospital outpatient surgery departments (HOPDs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services implemented a voluntary national reporting program with this survey in early 2016.
