The primary purpose of the CAHPS Database is to facilitate comparisons of CAHPS survey results by and among survey users. To support the use of CAHPS survey results, the CAHPS Database offers products and services that include comparative benchmark results, custom analyses, and data for research purposes. Participation in the CAHPS Database is free and open to all survey users.
These reports provide information on various aspects of utilization and spending for hospital-related treatment of mental and substance use disorders.
These HCUP Statistical Briefs provide statistics about mental health and substance abuse conditions (diagnoses) treated in U.S. hospitals. Topics include depression, drug abuse, and eating disorders.
MEPS provides state-level health insurance data for employer-sponsored plans through the MEPS-Insurance Component. Beginning in 2004, MEPS-IC also provides a subset of these data for selected metropolitan areas.
The National (Nationwide) Inpatient Sample (NIS) is the largest all-payer inpatient care database in the United States, containing data on more than seven million hospital stays. Its large sample size is ideal for developing national and regional estimates and enables analyses of rare conditions, uncommon treatments, and special populations.
AHRQ established the Surveys on Patient Safety Culture™ (SOPS™) Databases as central repositories for survey data from each of the SOPS surveys. Healthcare organizations that administer one of the AHRQ patient safety culture surveys can voluntarily submit their data to the appropriate database.
