AHRQ's Health Information Technology (IT) Annual Report showcases the Agency's 2016 research in the area of health IT.

AHRQ's health IT research focuses on easing provider burden from using health IT, understanding how patient-reported outcomes can be integrated into health IT to inform practice and research, and bringing evidence from patient-centered outcomes research to the point of care for use by doctors, nurses, and other providers. AHRQ's health IT research also explores new technologies, such as natural language processing and artificial intelligence.
