Patient Safety Primer: Maternal Safety

Maternal Safety, a new primer from AHRQ’s Patient Safety Network (PSNet), examines significant risks associated with pregnancy and childbirth and how those risks are being addressed through the development of maternal care safety bundles and tools.

AHRQ offers a perinatal safety toolkit that is currently integrating communication and teamwork strategies with two maternal safety bundles and evaluating its effectiveness.
