May 15: U.S. Preventive Services Task Force Nominations Due

AHRQ welcomes nominations for new members to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

Each year, the AHRQ Director appoints new Task Force members to serve 4-year terms and replace those who are completing their service. Qualified candidates should have experience in public health; reducing health disparities; applying science to health policy; and communicating findings to health care professionals, policymakers, and the general public. In addition, AHRQ also prefers experience in areas of pediatrics and behavioral health.

The Task Force works to improve the health of all Americans by making evidence-based recommendations about clinical preventive services, such as screenings, counseling services, and preventive medications.

Nominations are due May 15, with an expected start in January 2019.
