AHRQ National Advisory Council to Meet Virtually on July 14

The National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will meet virtually, through the Zoom platform, on July 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. E.D.T. The council provides advice to the Department of Health and Human Services secretary and the director of the agency. The council consists of 21 members from the private sector and seven ex-officio members from other federal health agencies.
The meeting will feature several presentations including:
- A review of recent agency accomplishments and data analytics by Director Gopal Khanna, M.B.A. and David Meyers, M.D., Deputy Director and Chief Physician.
- A discussion of AHRQ and Covid-19 by Robert McNellis, M.P.H., P.A., Senior Advisor for Primary Care, and David Meyers.
- A discussion on key recommendations from an independent study about improving health services research in the Federal government, by Jaime Zimmerman, M.P.H., P.M.P., Senior Program Advisor, and David Meyers.
