Therese Zink, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified family physician with a Masters in Public Health administration. She is a professor and chair in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Wright State University College of Medicine. 

She teaches, does research and provides patient care. She has had government and foundation grants to examine various aspects of caring for families living with intimate partner violence in the primary care setting. Her research has been published in the medical and social science literature. She has presented in international, national, and regional settings. Most recently she served on the United Nations, Expert Group Meeting on Neglect, Abuse and Violence of Older Women in November, 2013. 

Zink's recent honors and awards include: President's Award, Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians (2013), Contribution to Quality Healthcare in Minnesota Award, Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) Quality Committee, Minnesota Medical Association Foundation (2013), Named as one of the 100 Influential Health Care Leaders in Minnesota (2012), Distinguished Rural Educator, Minnesota Governor's Health Reform Task Force, MN (2012–2013) where she led the workforce task force, the National Rural Health Association (2012) Minnesota Rural Health Hero, Minnesota Rural Health Association (2011). She has also edited The Country Doctor Revisited: A 21st Century Reader (Kent State University Press, 2010), Becoming a Doctor: Reflections of Minnesota Medical Students (University of Minnesota Press, 2011), has her own collection of essays (Confessions of a Sin Eater, 2012) and a novel (Mission Rwanda, Zenterram Press, 2014).
