TeamSTEPPS® Master Training Course
Registration Requirements
Requirements to register for a course:
- A full team of three individuals is required; partial teams will not be able to register (nor teams larger than three).
- Registration requires the following information for each of your three team members: Name, Organization Name, Address, Phone, Email, Credentials, and Position Within Organization.
- Registration is limited to one team from each member hospital or organization for each course.
- No previous participation or attendance in a Master Training course.
- No participation in TeamSTEPPS Online.
Regional Training Centers
At the core of the National Implementation are eight Regional Training Centers at (from East to West):
- North Shore-LIJ Health System, New Hyde Park, New York (NSLIJ)
- Duke Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina (Duke)
- MetroHealth, Cleveland, Ohio (MetroHealth)
- Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois (NU)
- Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana (Tulane)
- University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota (UM)
- University of Washington, Seattle, Washington (UW)
- University of California Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California (UCLA)
These centers offer Master Training courses to create a national network of Master Trainers, who will in turn offer TeamSTEPPS training to frontline providers in hospitals and other health care settings throughout the country. The TeamSTEPPS Master Training course is geared toward individuals who are looking to implement TeamSTEPPS at their facility.
Training Dates and Registration
Registration dates for 2016 courses will open in two phases. Registration for courses that occur between January and April is now open. Courses in May through August will open January 25.

Expected Expenses
The TeamSTEPPS Master Training is provided at no cost. However, attendees are responsible for expenses associated with their travel (i.e., airfare, hotel and meals).
Pre-Work
The pre-work is designed to help you prepare for the 2-day onsite Master Training course. Furthermore, responses from your team's pre-work will provide the faculty with key insight as to the needs of the class. Completing the pre-work will not only help you garner more from the training, but will also help the faculty leverage their resources and expertise to tailor the curriculum to your needs. It is appropriate for your team to work together on this assignment and have one person submit it on the team's behalf. Download and complete the pre-work below. Continuing Education
Upon successful completion of the TeamSTEPPS Master Training course, attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion. Additionally, participants will be eligible to receive either 1.3 continuing education units (CEUs) or 13 contact hours of Joint Accreditation (ANCC, ACPE and ACCME).
