Electronic Preventive Services Selector (ePSS)

The ePSS is a free application that clinicians can use to search and browse U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations on the Web or on a PDA or mobile device. The ePSS brings information on clinical preventive services—recommendations, clinical considerations, and selected practice tools—to the point of care.

The ePSS provides timely decision support on appropriate screening, counseling, and preventive services for patients. The ePSS is based on the current, evidence-based recommendations of the USPSTF and can be searched by specific patient characteristics, such as age, sex, and selected behavioral risk factors.

The ePSS can be used with Android, BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone/iPod touch, Palm OS/web OS, Windows Phone and the Web.

The ePSS was designed for practicing primary care clinicians although anyone can use it.

Settings of Care

The ePSS can be used in primary care practices, clinics, and physicians’ offices.
