May 6: AHRQ EPC Grand Rounds Session on Dental Services

A virtual session of the AHRQ Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) Program Grand Rounds on May 6 will focus on dental services. Hosted virtually by AcademyHealth and AHRQ's Scientific Resource Center, the Grand Rounds series highlights the work of the EPC Program, which promotes and facilitates the use of evidence in healthcare decisions. EPC report authors will be joined by industry experts to weigh in on gaps in the evidence and implications for the field.
The session on will focus on the following new EPC reports about dental services, with the goal of expanding awareness and implementation of their findings.
- Efficacy of Dental Services for Reducing Adverse Events in Those Receiving Chemotherapy for Cancer, presented by Dr. David Hickam (OHSU Hospital; Portland VA Medical Center).
- Linking Dental Services to Treatment Outcomes for Chronic Kidney Disease: A Rapid Response Review, presented by Dr. Nirmala Nanguneri (Vindhya Data Science).
