Investigational drugs for hyperuricemia.
This review discusses ten new drugs in preclinical and early clinical trials for hyperuricemia, their mechanisms of action and available results. The researchers believe that growing knowledge about the urate transporters in the kidney has advanced knowledge of pathophysiology of hyperuricemia and led to the development of several new potential treatment options.
