Childhood and adolescent vaccination in alternative settings.
This article reviews the unique advantages, challenges, and experiences regarding vaccine delivery in alternative settings, such as schools, emergency rooms, hospitals, and pharmacies. It describes the key components that each setting must possess as well as other important factors to consider when assessing the ability of each to deliver vaccines to the children and adolescents they serve. It is important to emphasize that these settings should not replace the medical home as the primary location for vaccination, but rather serve as a critical safety net for high-risk individuals and communities and in situations where access to traditional locations may be limited, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic.

How coping can hide larger systems problems: the routine immunisation supply chain in Bihar, India.
Researchers developed a computational simulation model of Bihar, India's routine immunization supply chain where coping occurs to evaluate the broader impact of coping. They conclude that their results show how coping can hide major system design deficiencies and how restricting coping can improve problem diagnosis and potentially lead to enhanced system design.

An economic model assessing the value of microneedle patch delivery of the seasonal influenza vaccine.
The researchers utilized a susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered transmission model linked to an economic influenza outcomes model to assess the economic value of introducing the microneedle patch (MNP) into the U.S. influenza vaccine market from the third-party payer and societal perspectives. They concluded that if healthcare providers administered the MNP, its introduction would be less costly and more effective in the majority of scenarios assessed.
