A quasi-experiment assessing the six-months effects of a nurse care coordination program on patient care experiences and clinician teamwork in community health centers.
The authors assessed effects of adding care coordination formally to nurses’ roles on care experiences of high-risk patients and clinician teamwork during the first 6 months of use. They conducted a quasi-experimental study in which changes in staff and patient experiences at six community health center practice locations that introduced the added-role approach for high-risk patients were compared to changes in six locations without the program in the same health system. They found that there were some positive effects of adding care coordination to nurses' role within 6 months of implementation, suggesting value in this improvement strategy. They concluded that addressing compatibility between coordination and other job demands is important when implementing this approach to coordination.

A qualitative study of patient experiences of care in integrated behavioral health and primary care settings: more similar than different.
In this study, the authors examined, using qualitative methods, patients' experiences of care in integrated settings. The study included 24 patients receiving care across five practices participating in Advancing Care Together (ACT)-a 4-year demonstration project (2010-2014) of primary care and community mental health centers (CMHCs) integrating care. The investigators found that patients in both primary care and CMHCs perceived similar benefits from integrated care related to personal growth, improved quality, and access to care.

The effectiveness of clinician feedback in the treatment of depression in the community mental health system.
This article described the development and evaluation of a clinician feedback intervention for use in community mental health settings. The Community Clinician Feedback System (CCFS) was developed in collaboration with a community partner to meet the needs of providers working in such community settings. Satisfaction ratings of the CCFS indicated that the system was widely accepted by clinicians and patients.

Consumers' and providers' perceptions of utilizing a computer-assisted cognitive behavioral therapy for childhood anxiety.
The purpose of this study was to explore consumers’ and providers’ perceptions of utilizing a Computer-Assisted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) for childhood anxiety in community mental health centers (CMHC) in an effort to identify factors that may impact implementation of CCBT in CMHC. Results suggest that both consumers and providers were highly receptive to participation in and implementation of CCBT in CMHC.
