Implementation and evaluation of Exercise is Medicine in primary care clinics within a large academic health system.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility, implementation, and effectiveness of the Exercise is Medicine (EIM) initiative. Researchers used a combination of the Practical Robust Implementation and Sustainability Model (PRISM) and the Learning Evaluation model to implement EIM; data was collected from the EHR, including Physical Activity Vital Sign (PAVS) scores, and also from qualitative surveys and interviews with the patients, clinicians, and staff of 5 primary care clinics within a large academic health system. The results indicated that EIM is feasible for routine primary care practice within a large academic health system. The researchers concluded that EIM is a model to emulate to help primary care providers address healthy lifestyle behaviors more efficiently.

Evaluating the implementation of a before-school physical activity program: a mixed-methods approach in Massachusetts, 2018.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the implementation of a widely available, before-school, physical activity program in a low-resource, racially/ethnically and socioeconomically diverse, urban school setting to identify adaptations needed for successful implementation. The investigators used a collaborative effort with stakeholders to implement the Build Our Kids' Success (BOKS) program in 3 schools in Revere, Massachusetts.

Catalyzing implementation of evidence-based interventions in safety net settings: a clinical-community partnership in South Los Angeles.
This study was a process evaluation of a clinical-community partnership that implemented evidence-based interventions in clinical safety net settings. Key participants and health care providers, involved in the study, expressed a high level of satisfaction with the collaborative and the interventions, respectively. The authors provide key lessons learned for researchers and practitioners interested in partnering with Federally Qualified Health Centers to implement health promotion interventions.
