Conditional economic incentives to improve HIV treatment adherence: literature review and theoretical considerations.
This review summarizes various theories from micro- and behavioral-economics to social and clinical psychology that may help to understand how conditional economic incentives (CEI) work, and how they may be integrated with theories of health behavior that focus more on internal motivation.
