Transgender women's experiences using a home HIV-testing kit for partner-testing.
HIV partner-testing (PT) may represent a unique and empowering HIV prevention strategy for groups that face structural and institutional barriers to HIV testing and care, including transgender women. In this study, the investigators reported on in-depth interviews (IDIs) with transgender women who used HIV self-test kits for three months to screen potential sexual partners in a randomized controlled trial that took place in New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Feasibility and patient satisfaction with smoking cessation interventions for prevention of healthcare-associated infections in inpatients.
The primary aim of this pilot, randomized-controlled trial was to examine the feasibility and acceptability of a tobacco cessation intervention compared with usual care in inpatients. It found overall high levels of satisfaction with the intervention, indicating good feasibility and acceptance among patients.

Adult patients' perspectives on the benefits and harms of overused screening tests: a qualitative study.
This study determined how patients think about the harms and benefits of overused screening tests and how they consider these and other factors when making decisions. It found that many patients could not name a harm of screening. When they did name harms, patients often focused on only the harms of the screening test itself and rarely mentioned harms further along the screening cascade.
