The Four Moments of Antibiotic Decision Making in Telemedicine
The Four Moments of Antibiotic Decision Making are critical questions clinicians should be considering when deciding whether to prescribe an antibiotic.
Four Moments Questions
Implementation of the Four Moments
Several actions can be taken to integrate the Four Moments into regular practice. Local guidelines can be developed using the Four Moments framework. All “Best Practices” presentations in the AHRQ Safety Program Toolkit incorporate the Four Moments framework and most have clinician one-page documents to assist with guideline development.
These posters can be shared with clinicians as well as patients and family members.
