The study identified and described health systems in the United States, assessed differences between physicians and hospitals in and outside of health systems, and compared quality and cost of care delivered by physicians and hospitals in and outside of health systems.
The Dartmouth Center of Excellence, a CHSP grantee, released its public version database of the National Survey of Healthcare Organizations and Systems (NSHOS) 2017-2018, which assessed organizational characteristics and care delivery capabilities of healthcare systems, primary and multispecialty care physician practices, and hospitals.
